Remember the old names of the old roads in Kuala Lumpur. The taxi driver do not know where is Davidson Road, when in the sixties, all taxi drivers must know this road. Many of the old road had changed to Malay names due to nationalism. The Weld Road, how about it? where is the place? It is now Jalan Raja Chulan , hey from an English name to an Indian name? Raja Chulan should be the name of the Indian king who attacked Kedah Kingdom during Sri Vijaya period? I hope I am wrong, otherwise they need to change name again.......

When I was in Vietnam, the name of the streets are with historical names,especially the King Le Loi, the national hero. Batu Road changed to Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman is alright, since Batu has no historical meaning, but TAR is the father of Malaysia. It is better that the road will be named after local history, rather than history from other states. The street are the heritage of the locality, a proper name will allow us to tell the story of the street, and tourist will like to hear the local story. I wonder how Hang brothers are named after the street in KL, it should be in Malacca. Otherwise how can we tell the tourists why the history figure of Malacca come to KL?. The tourist will be wonder why I am standing at the street, and you are telling me the story that is miles away?.......

That is the meaning of the street, and we need to be careful on naming street....
